As each year passes, our kids' Christmas ornaments become more precious to us, so take some time this holiday season to make some of these adorable homemade ornaments with your kids. You'll be glad you did.

All of the kids' ornaments in this collection are easy to make using things you already have around the house. From popsicle sticks and old CDs, to paper, cardboard and styrofoam, you'll find loads of ornaments for your kids to make for the Christmas tree this December.

Inexpensive, Easy and They Look Great!

If you've been with us for a while, you know how much the toddlers and preschoolers in my daycare LOVE making Christmas crafts. If you've found us recently, let me tell you, inexpensive and easy Christmas crafts that look GREAT are our thing.

We particularly love making homemade Christmas ornaments and we've made hundreds of them over the years because we are simply nutty when it comes to holiday crafting.

30 Easy Kids' Christmas Ornaments

As with most of our crafts here in my daycare, our ornaments are always inexpensive to make. Most of the supplies can be found around your home or picked up at the dollar store.

Secondly, they're easy enough for toddlers and preschoolers to make with little or no assistance.

And finally, our these kids' ornaments are TOTALLY gorgeous. Your children  will be so proud to hang these on the Christmas tree, and you'll will treasure these keepsakes for years to come.

Easy Christmas Ornaments with Buttons and Beads

Easy Icicle Ornaments – Pipecleaners and beads are all you need for these pretty icicle ornaments. Make a bunch! The kids will be so proud to see them sparkling on your Christmas tree this year!

Styrofoam Button Ornaments – put a styrofoam produce tray through the dishwasher and it becomes the perfect canvas to make a Christmas ornament with! Just add buttons!

Beaded Wreath Ornaments – these easy beaded wreaths are simple to make, but wonderful for helping toddlers and preschoolers strengthen their fine motor skills.

Our cork and clothespin nutcrackers are so easy to make, and all you need is a cork, a clothespin and some paint. Kids and adults young and old will love making them.

Easy Paper Candy Canes – older kids will LOVE making these candy cane ornaments. They're so easy, using just markers and paper, and they're super-addictive. Don't be surprised if you end up with an entire tree covered in candy canes this year.

Milk Jug Sun Catcher Ornaments – even the youngest crafters can make these easy sun catcher ornaments. Hang them on the tree or in a sunny window!

Craft Stick Button Snowflakes – everyone loves it when we get out the button collection. We used Starbucks stir sticks for this easy snowflake craft.

Lacing Christmas Tree Ornaments – these trees look so pretty, and they're great for teaching early sewing skills and for developing fine motor skills.

 Glittered CD Ornaments – believe it or not, even I, who despises glitter, couldn't get enough of these glittered CD's. What a great way to use old, scratched disks that you can't play anymore!

Craft Stick Star Ornament – and of course, an old classic. These stars made with craft sticks are easy enough for toddlers and preschoolers to make, but older kids will love them too. They can make a whole set in a variety of colours.
